My question is who takes the game-winning shots?  And is the other gonna care if he misses?
I don't think it's going to be a problem.  Like with the Celtics, it's not always going to be the same person.  I don't see anyone pulling a Scottie Pippen when the final play was called for Kukoc.  They will be fine.
Ray and Paul have both made enough game-winners for a lifetime.  I think it'll be a little harder for the two-time MVP/best player in the game to give up the ball in crunch time.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I don't know - remember early in LeBron's career people were knocking him for passing the ball too much in last-possession scenarios.  He's played unselfishly in those situations before.  The question is if Wade will make him insecure enough to start hogging those shots.

I'm not saying LeBron can't play unselfishly.  Just that for probably every team he's ever been on, his team has looked to him for the final shot(s).

I agree with you.  If he was selfish he never would have gone to Miami knowing he'd be getting less shot attempts.  Riley told James that he wants him to be like Magic Johnson and Wade to be like Jordan.  Maybe he's selfish in terms of his self centered ego but I think he's naturally unselfish on the court.  I can't stand the guy at the moment, but I actually think he'll do fine.

Yeah - basically LeBron and Wade's games aren't as incompatible as people think, but their egos might be.

It is not that he always took the final shot but he had the ball (as did Wade) to make the final PLAY.  Lebron often would pass but it was in his hands.  If the ball is in Wade's hands to make the final play (which is how I would play it if for nothing else than Wade is a better FT shooter), that is very different and Lebron may not like that.  This is something that will have to be worked out but I don't see it being a big enough deal to derail the team in any way (unfortunately).

To be honest with you guys...I dont think we will see any cracks in the armor until playoff time.

As Lebron has shown the past few years his team come ready to play in the regular season.

I am a C's fan through and through but having said that, the Heat could win 70 games.  They have 2 absolute beasts on this team that are going to drive each other to new heights.

But I have to add this, the Heat are exactly what (not only we need...but) the entire NBA needs.  I have never ever been this excited for an NBA season then I am right now, I am pumped.

It will be that much sweeter when the old dogs knock off these young pups.

I would actually love to see a Celtics Spurs NBA Finals this year.  Leaving both the Heat and Fakers out of the picture how sweet would that be?
I was with you up to the finals.  I want the Fakers and no one else.  I want some payback and even without that factoring in, a Celtic title always tastes sweeter when it comes at the expense of the Fakers in the finals.

I hear what you're saying. Unfortunately, this is the kind of stuff that will, in my opinion win them 70 plus games next year, maybe break the record, and win them a title. Those two guys are gonna push eachother like crazy.

"I am a C's fan through and through but having said that, the Heat could win 70 games.  They have 2 absolute beasts on this team that are going to drive each other to new heights"

I don't see them winning 70 with this roster.  Zero chance at a title unless injuries hit the competition and not the Heat.

Think about it - only 1 team ever has been that dominant, it would be a miracle for the Heat - who are admittedly according to LeBron, all about "having fun" - to pull that off.

And Wade's comment about "just trying to argue" really could be him sending a message to LeBron - which could end up being a battle of egos before it's all said and done...

The Chemistry of their big 3 will not be the problem. The chemistry issues will arise if 4-15 are not ready to step up. I think it would be in the Heat 3's best interest to foster a TEAM building camp. Hypercompetitive and intense is great, but the stars have to instill confidence in the rest of the guys, not isolate them.

Don't get me wrong I expect the heat to win a lot of games. 70? Don't know about that. But yes they will run through the lower tier teams and look like a highlight factory on sportscenter some nights.

That being said however I see them having a lot of difficulty with established "teams" in crunch time. The beauty of a Boston, Orlando, and even LA is the fact they play as a team and can except certain roles and just care about the win. James and Wade both have HUGE egos they need to satisfy and it's all about the glory to them especially lebron.

He's well aware how he's perceived now by mostamericans in a negative light and he wants more than anything to shove it right in our face with game winners and monsterous dunks. To me that equals an agenda. And when you have agendas on a team that's when you start to get cracks in chemistry.

I'm dramatic at times as many fellow celticsbloggers can attest so take my opinion with a grain of salt if you will. But I honestly see an implosion of immense proportions with this team. Probably not year one. But once the pressure starts mounting after they dint win the title the cracks will become leaks and eventually the team chemistry will disentigrate all together.

Sorry but I don't buy the two main alpha dogs in this league full of them playing nicely together once the media spotlight hits them after they are faced with adversity of all kinds.

When I read the part about Wade just wanting to get in on the argument... I immediately knew he (everyone involved) was doing it to make people (the media)think it was a small sign of the chemistry problems. I expect to see a lot more of this fake ish going on... they love the attention... some (me) would say, this is nothing but Kim Kardashian-like actions! The Cheats need to stop faking the funk!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I just noticed the NBATV info for the real training camp usually has the team name but for the Heat it says real training camp with Lebron James and the Miami Heat. Guess they've already cast their vote on who's going to be Beyonce.

Any championship would be sweet, but nothing would be better than getting what rightly should be ours from who has it, even then it still won't be enough... It's always going to hurt.  Perk if only... And thank you zebras (officials) you can go to hell.
