from realgm:

"Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune writes that the Trail Blazers may be getting closer to trading swingman Rudy Fernandez.

Portland general manager Rich Cho is working to accommodate Fernandez's trade request behind the scenes.

"The first-year GM has some options, and I'm getting the feeling he might pull the trigger on something before camp," Eggers wrote."

hope the c's are in on this!

With West signed, I think Rudy would be redundant.

I was actually thinking of Von Wafer being redundant.

If the decision is would I rather have Wafer + a #1, or Rudy, I'll take the former.  I think Rudy will be sent to Chicago.

Making Ronnie Brewer's decision to take Chicago's money over ours look even dumber. He'd have to beat out Korver and Rudy for PT.

I still hold out hope of some deal getting us Wilson Chandler for a #1 pick  with Rudy to NY and the pick to Portland.

I'd really like that.  I've been a fan of Chandler since the first time I saw him in a preseason game against us 2 or 3 years ago.  Great backup for PP and a nice future running mate with Rondo.  We'd need a stud scorer/defender 2 to go with them though.

I'd still be okay for a first round pick for Rudy, but I don't think he's coming here.

I like that idea a lot but not going to happen.

Well, Rudy said NO to New Orleans! Either he's going overseas or he is playing hardball so he is dealt to a team he wants. Realgm mentioned Boston and Chicago. I still wouldn't mind him here, I think he'd be a good fit with our second unit.

I stil wouldn't mind getting Rudy at all, but I'd rather have a three now that we got Delonte.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
If this happens, I guess I like it, but we will have way too much depth at the sg position. Allen, West, Wafer, Bradley and Rudy all playing the same position is pretty ridiculous - especially with no real options at the '3' behind Pierce.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Rudy Fernandez before get signed Wafer, drafted Bradley, and signed West would've been awesome.

Now, meh.
