Rank the remaining wingmen (top 5, 10, whatever). This could be for either of the 2 open wing spots on the bench. There are a surprising amount of players in this list that I would like to see in Boston - and I imagine they will become available when the free agency cap space and MLE money starts to dry up.

Josh Howard
Rasual Butler
Richard Jefferson
Jerry Stackhouse
Tracy McGrady
Matt Barnes
Jarvis Hayes
Keith Bogans
Roger Mason
Sasha Pavlovic
Adam Morrison
Rodney Carney
Stephen Graham
Joey Graham
Antoine Wright
Marquis Daniels
Flip Murray
Bobby Simmons
Larry Hughes
Joe Alexander
Damien Wilkins
Trenton Hassell
Ime Udoka
Devin Brown
Devean George
Steve Novak

If I forgot anyone or if someone is no longer available let me know.

(1) Rasual Butler
(2) Rodney Carney
(3) Keith Bogans
(4) James Jones
(5) Bobby Simmons

I left out Richard Jefferson and Josh Howard. RJ would rank in fourth place maybe fifth place. Josh Howard would rank somewhere between 1st and 3rd depending on where his offense is at post injury.

R-Jeff is the tops on that list, but no way he's coming here.  Some team like Cleveland or Dallas will overpay for him.  Perhaps NJ gets him back or even NYK.

I like Rasual Butler very much for his defense, his size and he can shoot a bit.

I always liked Trenton Hassell and he would fit in with our geriatric bunch.

1) Richard Jefferson
2) Josh Howard
3) Rasual Butler
4) Matt Barnes
5) Trenton Hassell

I still like the idea of Howard or Barnes. No, neither of them where ever at the top of my list, but at this point I don't think the Celtics can be too picky. With Nate coming back it definitely improves our bench, but I have felt this whole offseason that wing should be one of our main concerns. I still think we should of drafted Damion James out of Texas. Maybe he doesn't have the upside Bradley does, but he could of came in right away and helped this team with defense and energy on the wing.

James Anderson out of OK State would have been WAY better than James. Nice pick by the Spurs once again. James has nothing on Bradley. You have to think bigger then this season. Bradley will surprise people I think and do more for Boston than James will for New Jersey.

I agree, but if we are thinking bigger than this season then what happens in a few years when we have both Rondo and Bradley? I don't ever see Bradley being a starting shooting guard for this team. I hope I am wrong and I agree he has a lot of potential, but longterm I am not sure he pans out to be what we need.

I haven't seen much of Carney... and I wondered this last summer as well... How come he hasn't caught on as a solid bench player?

Bradley could be a 20-30 MPG combo guard off the bench eventually.

Not the brightest player + very limited offensively ... but he is a very good defender with excellent defensive potential (all-league defensive potential). I think he is the best defender (current ability) on the market. His rebounding has been inconsistent throughout his career, some years it's poor, other years it's excellent.

Carney is a young player who needs a home. He could be a Bruce Bowen type player. Whatever veteran team that takes the time to nurture him will be very happy with what he turns into.

Did you miss Tmac? He might not be the same player he was but he's still most definitely in the top 5.

No, I didn't miss him. I think McGrady is finished.

I wrote this on another thread

Quote
Tracy McGrady is finished. His legs are gone.

As a result, he is one of the worst defensive players in the league + a liability on the backboards + he is unable to create separation from his defender due to his lack of athleticism which leads to a large number of contested jump shots off the dribble which leads to highly inefficient scoring.

McGrady is an ineffective offensive player who does more harm to his team than good + a horrific defensive player who again harms his team + a weak rebounder who again hurts his team.

Tracy McGrady is finished.

No interest in McGrady.

Amen to that.  It seems a lot of people are thinking of the McGrady we knew 7, 8 10 years ago. That guy doesn't exist anymore.
