I'm calling it now. Shaq will return the the Heat. Now that they have Bosh and Wade, they need a center, and Shaq has a great relationship with Riley and Wade, and he loves the city of Miami.

Actually, I think this is inaccurate.  I'm fairly certain Shaq left Miami on bad terms.  I think when he was traded to Phoenix, he left with a few parting shots for Riley and Wade.  Maybe Wade would be willing to get over it, if it meant getting a capable center, but I don't think Wade would want Shaq back.  Besides, do you really think Wade would want to be looked at as needing Shaq for another title.

I guess I missed the bad blood between Shaq and the Heat, but he does love miami, and I really don't think Wade cares about how it looks if he wins again with Shaq. Wade seems to be the only one of the top FA's to have his head screwed on well. I think that's a big reason why Bosh came to play with him. He cares about wining, not about wining it by himself.

Jermaine Oneal has a good chance of coming he'd join 2 other SC high school alumni who he has relationships with.

Ray Allen Hillcrest High School Dalzell, SC
KG- Mauldin High School Mauldin, SC (only did his senior year at Farragut in Chicago)

Jermaine Oneal-Eau Claire High School, Columbia, SC

I'd take him for the minimum or a small portion of the MLE I think he's a good stop gap for Perk and any even better backup.

"That's right.  We don't need Shaq."

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
How about we split the MLE between Shaq and Jermaine. With a rotation of Shaq, Perk, O'Neal, KG and Baby we could match the Lakers in length and beef.

This is assuming Ray resigns and we don't need to replace him and we can get a backup wing for Sheed's contract.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

You're probably right about Wade being one of the few top level guys with his priorities striagth.  He probably wouldn't care about who the supporting players were.

Also, I could be wrong on Shaq leaving on bad terms.  It just for some reason sticks in my mind.  Maybe its just because everywhere Shaq goes, he leaves on bad terms.

LOL, yea, TP for that. That's my one concern about Shaq. He leaves from everywhere on bad terms sooner or later!
