Meadowlark is on to something.

The officials have our enforcer - Perk - walking on eggshells.

Did anybody see Kobe's serious double dribble in the last game?  Did anybody see Kobe with 5 fouls hammer Ray and not get fouled out?

Keep one eye on Artest and another eye on Odom, Artest's buddy.  Remember Odom tackling Ray in the scorer's table 2 years ago.  Oh, and remember when Odom poke Ray in the eye in the finals?

Guys,

This isn't hockey.  You don't send guys out there to take out the opposition in this game.

TP.  Let's all give peace a chance.

we did, by not starting the mess, but some only understand force...gotta let them know, that will not be tolerated..at all.......we hit the guy who wants to play that.

It isn't hockey?

Why does Artest get away with it then?

Why do the officials let Artest get away with it?

They must be too busy giving ticky tack fouls to Perk and Sheed.
Sure, Ron Ron's job is to play tough defense and get under the opposing players' skin with some rough tactics, but he's not out there to purposefully injure somebody.

The same kind of posts popped up during the Orlando series. Play hard, don't give easy layups, don't back down, but, no, an "enforcer" is not needed.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

TP for you, thanks for the backup...! And the research....most people let dirt go...then they wonder why they get bullied even more...just "lean " on the guy that did it.....that is the professional way..!

what would be said if bbd threw that knee out there "on purpose" like ron did, into KOBE, how would that play out...a lot diff, i bet...! you don't have to injure him, just give him a good one, when he has the ball, to let him know, that play will not be tolerated...i don't even think ray had the ball, it was a dirty pick.......the knee doesn't like that stuff you know....don't blame the victim.

Don't try to "smoke" people with "pc" terms...TA plays tough D, but it is clean, ron's job is to be dirty, go to the closest level without killing someone, or a hard injury......we all know that.

I think Howard can use his elbows to his advantage. Now showing them and using them are different. During our series with him he definitely used them.

Perk should work Bynam over as much as possible to get the knee wobbly. Show us a weakness we should exploit it. Professionally of course. ;)

Robert Parish couldn't take any more and punched  Bill Laimbeer from behind and I believe wasn't even thrown out. This Modern game has become sissified.

I never give Artest the benefit of the doubt on any foul. He climbed into the stands to punch a fan. To me that means he has no impulse control and is capable of anything on the court. It doesn't make him a rugged defender or whatever euphemisms they're using to describe his play these days. We just need to ignore him and focus on executing on our end.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

What if one of the celtics took down Kobe?  Or bumped Bynum's knee?

Of course the Lakers and Dr. Phil would be crying to the officials.

TP for Meadowlark.

Remember what Tommy used to say when it got rough:  "Let 'em by Cousy.  Let 'em by."

The old time Celtics knew how to deal with these kind of dirty play situations.

All those banners were earned.

Rondo as our enforcer?

Did you see Artest flop on that push?

Kobe has gotten about 6 cheap calls on both offense and defense.  He's shooting about 40% in the series and without all the babying from the officials he would struggle to look like an average NBA player.  Like LeBron.  Like Wade.  Like Howard.

It's a team game.

If only the officials would call the game even, we would BLOW THEM OUT!

Rondo made a boneheaded move by pushing Artest.  He gave them exactly what they wanted out of Artest on that play.  Artest's push of Garnett was in the game, and was giving us two more points.  No reason for Rondo to react like that.  Especially because I can't really believe a (relatively) small, young boy would physically intimidate Ron Ron.

Additionally, I heard mention of the Bad Boys and the Palace brawl, but does no one remember Rudy Tomjanovich?
