So, I'm moved into my new place. I was outside playing basketball today and the neighbor kid came over, this kid is probably 7 or 8. He's actually pretty good so I start talking to him.

I ask him who his favorite team is. He says, "The Celtics." So far, so good. I ask him who his favorite player is. He says, "Rajon Rondo."

I ask him if he's heard of Jordan. He says no, disappointing if you ask me. I'm a Celtics fan, through and through but, I love Jordan. I get out my phone and show him some videos of Jordan on Youtube. I ask him what he thought of him, you know, pretty good huh? haha.

He looks at me flatly and says, "Rondo is better."

Great kid.

Glad to hear things are going better and you've got a new place, Bud ... sounds like some good neighbors, too! ;)

Thanks, Bahku! So far everything has been great, haven't heard anything from crazy lady since the whole ordeal began. *knocks on wood*

This kid is awesome. He asked if he could watch the Finals with me. He's seriously obsessed with Rondo. If I have a some extra dough laying around I'm going to try and get him a Rondo jersey for his birthday, it's just a few days before my own.

Not as obsessed as me! lol...

But anyways, it's nice that you're getting this opportunity to help this kid and maybe change his life when he gets older. Every little thing you do for him will make a difference.

Nice to hear things are going good with you.

P.S. what's your kitten's name? I have one named Rufus! :)

Haha.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it, I feel like I just got the little brother I never had lol.

My kitten's name is Isabella, but I call her Bella for short. She's a gray and black tabby, her markings are extremely intense, I haven't seen anything like it before.

LOL if you need help with the obsessed Rondo fan in your life I can give you some tips. My boyfriend is the absolute biggest Rondo fan I know. Since Rondo got drafted my life has been so much easier LOL.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Lol, thanks, I may have to hit you up. Between this kid and my best friend, I'm up to my knees in Rondo worship. :P Not that it's a bad thing.

Rondo is crazy fun to watch and does some incredible things out there.   In this series he's also gained even more respect with his clutch play.  It's a different kind of clutch.  It's not the dagger 3 to win a game... it's a key steal, a key block... a dive for a ball... an insane catch and layup... and maybe a jumper for good measure.  But man he's been coming through big time when it counts.

The play late in the 4th quarter where Pierce missed the three and Rondo came out of nowhere, skying above the Laker defenders to get the tip-in, was a perfect example of the "clutch" intangibles that he brings to the game ... I loved this kid when he played for Kentucky, and it's just grown and grown since he's become a Celtic. A year or two from now, his contract signing is going to seem like the deal of the century!

Yeah, like the plays we all remember from Dave Cowens, diving across the floor, Larry stealing the ball and passing it to DJ for the layup to beat Detroit or Larry getting the rebound of his own missed shot. All these plays helping you getting the win.
