LOL you know Abbott is predicting a Lakers sweep if they advance. I'm still amused he picked the Magic in 7. I bet he was dying to pick them in 5 but was afraid of the Celtics throwing more egg on his face.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Headline on ESPN:

"Pierce's 31 points help Celtics avoid collapse and return to finals"

So instead of clinching a finals berth its avoiding a collapse? Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.?

2008 Post season Celtics:

26 games

16-10

Averaged: 94.0 PPG
Gave up:  88.8 PPG
Opp FG%:  42.6%
Opp 3PT%  32.9%

2010 Post season Celtics:

17 games

12-5

Averaged : 96.6 PPG
Gave up:   91.3 PPG
Opp FG%:   43.7%
Opp 3PT%:  31.5%

How anyone can watch the team that played in 2008, watched this team, watched the defense of both teams and then have taken a look at these stats and then NOT favor Boston to win it all, would dumbfound me.

In fairness, I also did see "Celtics have 'convincing' win to return to finals" at some point during Sports Center.

The Lakers are better this year than they were that year.  That being said, if Bynum is out or not healthy I would have to give the C's the upper hand.
I hope everyone picks the Lakers though.  The C's are 2-0 as underdogs!
