Let what go to his head?!? All the positive press and accolades that he recieves? (Guess I missed it). Honestly, last season I was ready to trade him in an instant, the year before was even worse. This year he has gotten in better shape and worked hard to improve his game ... I just don't see all this negative stuff in the OP. He's in a short slump like everyone on every team gets into from time-to-time ... they don't last, and neither will this one.

About the press accolades: NBA GMs rated him #2 best post defender last summer. Every time we play Orlando, the news articles talk about how Perk is the only player in the league who can handle him.I'm not being negative. I'm just wondering what could be the reason for his poor play (I don't think it's just a slump - I feel I've noticed it throughout the season e.g. the play angryguy777 talked about earlier in the thread), and saying that the thread title might be it.
Sometimes I wonder if Perk enjoys playing basketball anymore. I'm probably making this up based on weeks of poor play, but his scowl has changed from "no nonsense intensity" to pout, sigh, unhappy "when can we go home."

I get where you're coming from, I just don't think there's much "inflated ego" or similar we have to worry about when it comes to Perk. There does seem to be some kind of chemistry difference going on, ie the less aggressive Perk after KG has come back, and I'm not quite sure what that's about, but this core is the same one we won a championship with, and I have to think it's changes in the bench that have thrown us this "curve-ball" ... we'll see soon. I didn't mean to jump on your OP or seem flippant about it ... there's actually been a bunch of great discussion come of it. TP for a thought-provoking post, Rav ... keep up the good work.
