Quote
The 76ers, several sources say, have all but pulled Iguodala off the market after aggressively exploring interest in him over the last 10 days

Not that I thought we had much of a chance at getting him, but that's one more name we can cross off the list I guess.

So that leaves

Martin
Ellis ( I don't want)
Deng(unlikely)

Anyone else?

About time ... They should have come to this conclusion within days after putting his name out there.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

I was hoping Danny would pull this one out the ass before the deadline.

Philly is not going to trade Iggy to Boston. That's almost like the Yankees trading Jeter to the Red Sox. Philly fans hate Boston. Philly has enough problems with their fans showing up.

It is nothing at all like the Yankees trading Jeter.

As if I believe this story or Ric Bucher in general.  Amare for AI sounds like a good trade for no one especially Cleveland.  Good lateral move for the C's.

I don't see how Celtics/76ers is anywhere near Sox/Yankees. They've met in the playoffs once in the last 15 years. Is it even a rivalry anymore?

  • You know my methods, Watson.
it's not like it used to be...  personally, i don't really think there are many rivalries in the nba at all today.  philly / boston was a HUGE thing years ago, but a lot of posters here probably aren't aware of that.

i never saw philly trading AI to the celtics...they just appear to be a team that has no clue where they are headed.

Exactly.
No clear direction there, its hard to do a trade to get from Point A to Point B if you have no idea where Point B is.

  • Rondo = Good
We're not going to get any good players for Ray Allen barring a miracle.
