Boston Receives:

Iguodala
Dalembert
Hinrich

Chicago Receives:

R. Allen

Philly Receives:

J. James
Scalabrine
House
T. Allen
Giddens

Why for Boston?

Iguodala gives us an immediate replacement for Allen and gives us a swingman for about the next 8 years. Hinrich gives us the steady ballhandler that we've been looking for. Dalembert is an intriguing player in our system. He's a good rebounder and shot blocker, but seems to lack motivation. Interested to see him alongside KG to see if that provides a spark. His contract expires after next year, so the risk is small and he provides us an expiring contract chip if things don't work out.

We're getting pounded on the boards and both Dalembert and Iguodala are good rebounders at their position. In addition, this will give us much more of a nasty defensive minded approach that we seem to have lacked since early last season.

Why for Chicago?

They get out from under Hinrich's contract, get a proven veteran, and become major players in free agency this summer. In fact, this deal is so good from their perspective that they would likely have to add their first rounder next year (mid-teens) to either us or the Sixers. Again, that's not necessarily a bad thing since it eliminates the cap hold for the pick and frees up more money for a FA.

Why for Philadelphia?

They want to shed salary and Iguodala and Dalembert are highly rumored to be dealt. They also could agree to buyouts with Scalabrine, House, and James which would save them more money. They could give impending FA's TA & Giddens a closer look for a possible re-signing the following year. I would not object to shipping the Chicago 1st rounder to them in order to help seal the deal.

Basketball wise, it's a great trade for us. But I'd think that would be too much money for Wyc and company to pay. I think you might be able to get them to buy on either Dalembert or Hinrich, but can't imagine both.

Philly is probably the holdup. They can get more for Iguodala than expirings/James Johnson (bust). They at least need some picks.

I think the Sixers would be getting plenty. Not many teams have the expirings and the financial resources to take on those two deals (especially Dalmembert's). However, as StartOrien pointed out Wyc and Co. have to be willing to pay for Dalembert until 2011 and Hinrich until 2012. However, that seems to be the window we seem to be running under as KG and Sheed both expire in the sumer of '12.

This would totally bury us financially after this year; also, Philadelphia will want to get at least some talent back if they trade away two of their starters.  They get none in this trade.

Unless PP signs a friendlier deal then we're going to be buried financially regardless. We have Rondo's contract kicking in, have to worry about re-signing both RA & Daniels, and are going to be left with only the MLE & LLE to add talent. The only way to add talent for upcoming years is to trade RA.

Philadelphia is in a tough situation because they need to blow things up and shed cap. They're 17-31 despite being fairly healthy and the only way they can hope to improve is to stike gold through the draft.

It's a tough economy, but if Wyc & Co want to step up and pay the salaries, I'd say go for it!  We aren't going to get significantly better through free agency, so I agree, Ray Allen's contract is likely the ticket to more championship opportunities.

Indeed.  Iggy, Dalembert and Captain Kirk would combine to make $33 mil next year, add that to the $60 mil in Rondo/KG/PP/Sheed/Perk and a dropping luxury tax threshold and ownership would end up forking more than $20 mil more than this year (which I believe they've already described as being maxed out).

The only feasible Iggy trade I can see is Iggy/Dalembert for Ray/Perk, and that would probably be contingent on Pierce's willingness to restructure his deal.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I agree, the only way we're getting Iggy is if we trade Ray + Perk and take on Dalembert.

Honestly, I'd do it.

I would do that if they gave us Speights.
