Is Boston ready to switch to Rip as the SG of the future?

I am not so sure anymore.  The long term price of Prince makes me wonder.  (price is fine as a starting SF, but as a 6th/7th man?)

I think NBA finance is about to change and smart teams are not going to get bogged down with high price bench players.

Prince is an expiring contract next year so it wouldn't be so bad. Plus we could use him as a trade chip at next years trade deadline. The lockout isn't going to happen til after next season so we wouldn't be bogged down with Prince's salary.

Rip's on the decline, even if his shooting %s this year are deceiving.  He's not an upgrade to Ray Allen at this point and that's the only contract big enough to fetch him.

Starters: Rubio, Danny Green, Durant, Markieff Morris, Capela
Bench: Sessions, Shumpert, G. Green, T. Booker, Frye

We need young talent and now is not the time to get one and the offseason is a PERFECT time, perhaps, the best players in last 20 years will be out of contract and up for grabs.
We have a contending team, and I don't feel like we can upgrade in this point.
