I dont think Rose deserves a spot this year...Rondo without a doubt does. Bosh should be in Joe Johnson over Rose this year.

I think they should have a minor NBA quiz prior to submitting your votes.  If you fail the quiz, then you can't vote.

That should sort out at least some of the clueless "fans"!

Agreed -- I think Rondo is the only PG in the East deserving of an All-Star spot.

You know the record when Scal starts!!!
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

The AI selection is a joke...

KG doesn't deserve to be there too, although he still is wayyy more deserving than AI. But Garnett has missed too many games and doesn't have All-Star stats, although his impact goes way beyond stats. Bosh should start.

And I wouldn't mind seeing KG not play to rest during the All-Star weekend but I guess he will be OK.

Also, Stoudemire at center is a joke. And Nash, although he clearly deserves it, who passes in front on T-Mac just during the last week of votes... what a coincidence. Yeah right, the NBA did the same thing last year with Yi Jianlian who got outvoted in the last moments. Basically, the NBA acknowledges its voting system is a joke but it fixes it in "secret". ::)

I hope Paul and Rajon make the second unit!

Does anybody have a problem that AI was on the Western ballot, but will start in the East?

I think that's a serious flaw in the voting.  I know the NBA doesn't take things too seriously, but why should AI's votes count over Eastern guards, when they weren't in direct head-to-head competition?

If the NBA wanted Iverson to be eligible in the East, I think they should have printed new ballots.  Vince Carter (ugh) got screwed, as he was the #2 vote getter among guards on the Eastern ballot.

Barkley said the same thing. Great minds think alike.

I also agree.

It would be the first classy thing AI has ever done if he said thank you, but I will not play because I am undeserving.

Allen Iverson should play and start. He's the one the most fans wanted to see and the game is about the fans. He should treat their votes with respect.

Is that you, David Stern?  The allstar game is about promoting the league and giving the fans the best quality game.  Unfortunately, AI is no longer a high quality player.
