TP for the OP.
I think the team really misses both Posey and Leon Powe form a amental standpoint. Sure, Shelden and Baby can defend and put up equal numbers as Powe or better on most nights. Or Scal and Marquis can put up equal numbers as Posey or better on most nights.
However, to me what's important as far as affect on the team is "how the numbers are put up or how the D is played".
Baby, Shelden, Scal and Marquis, like them though I do, are complete marshmellows when you stand them up against Powe and Posey.
If I'm in a Foxhole, I want Powe and Posey with me, they are tough, tough, tough.
Those two brought a real mental and physical toughness to the the team that complimented Perkins adn KG's toughness on the first unit.
We don't have that now. And you know for different reasons ( perhpas correct reasons and choices, they arent' with us now). But you could have brought in equivalent guys in tersm of toughness. I think that value was misunderstood.
Reggie Evans and Matt Barnes would have been perfect replacements. Very similar games and both have a bit of nasty to them.
WE don't have any nasty off the bench, it's a problem. WE have a bunch or reactors, rather than instigators...
