Hey guys,

I'm hoping some of you have experience or know any information about tailgating at Gillette Stadium.  I scored some tickets for the game this Sunday and will be going early in the morning.  I was wondering if the parking lot close to the stadium is reserved or if it is open to the public?  And will it allow tailgating?  I don't know if the rules have changed when the new stadium opened.

Anything helps, thanks!

The parking lots at the stadium are open to the public, but you have to pay of course. I think it's something like $50 per vehicle. And you can tailgate.

My suggestion is to not park at the stadium and instead park in one of the nearby lots along route 1. The cheapest fee I've seen is $30 and that was a mile away (at the Red Wing diner). You can tailgate in all of the lots as far as I know.

we usually park at Rodman's or the place next to it - 5 minute walk to stadium, tailgating highly encouraged

definitely dont park at the stadium....its a nightmare to get out of.  like it was suggested, go to a lot of rt 1.  another thing to consider, with the rt1 lots, most of them increase their rates the closer it gets to game time.  u could save $20 if u get the really early (about 3 to 4 hrs b4 kickoff).

have fun and go pats!
