  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
My team is currently 4-5 so I pretty much need to win out in order to make the playoffs. This week is huge for me. I need some advice on who to start at several positions. Here are my lock starters.
QB-Brady
WR-Moss
WR-Miles Austin
TE-Witten
D-Vikings
K-Elam

Now I have to fill a rb/wr position with either Ochocinco who is playing the tough steelers defense, or Anquan Boldin who is coming off an injry and hasn't played extremely well this year.

I need to choose two running backs to start, here's my options
1. Ladell Betts- Starting in place of Portis for a bad Redskins team that is playing a Denver team that got gashed on the ground the previous week.

2. Justin Fargas- has ran hard this season and is playing against one of the worst run defenses in the league in Kansas City. However, with Darren McFadden coming back he might see his carries cut

3. Jamaal Charles- the feature back for the Chiefs playing against a terrible Oakland run defense. Kansas City threw the ball a lot last week and he only got 6 carries as well as a few catches.

4. Knowshon Moreno- He has been my best back so far but he absolutely laid an egg last week against the stout Pittsburg defense. More carries are starting to go towards Buckhalter, so Moreno might be splitting carries 50/50.

5. Cadillac Williams- My second best running back so far. Got 16 carries last week and seems to be the feature back. The dolphins however have a strong run defense and might slow him down.

Thoughts? (TP to anyone who answers)

I actually just picked up Betts and Jamal Charles.  Kansas keeps stinking up the place, so there is a chance that Charles might not get a lot of action playing from behind.  I have never been a big fan of Fargas.  He's had plenty of time to shine and he always disappoints, so especially with McFadden coming back, I'd shy away from him.  Betts could be a good sleeper RB, but he hasn't proved anything so it's a big if, and Cadillac Williams has played well but is kind of a funk lately.  I would take a gamble on Betts since he could have high carries and opportunities for big plays.  Williams I think would be a more sure thing pick.

I'm trying to decide between similiar backs.  I dropped Jamal Charles because it sounds like Kolby Smith will get a chance to be the guy.  I could see him getting more carries with Charles being a 3rd down guy.  Plus KC line sucks.

Knowshon might be decent.  Everyone struggles against Pitt.  I think they ran it with Buckhalter only because they thought Pitt wouldn't expect it.

Ladell... I see Denver dominating but he can catch the ball... if your in a PPR league, maybe go with him.

Fargas... Your taking too big of a chance that Darren comes in and plays and you get goose egged.

Ward might be better than Caddy against MIA because freeman might have to checkdown a lot.

I'd go with Knowshon possibly Betts.

start ocho. he'll be ready for a good game.

at rb, I would go with either Betts or Charles.  do you get points per receptions?  if so, I'd go with Charles.  if not, Betts.

I have to start two at rb so you think Charles and Betts? It's not ppr but every 5 receptions gets a point.
I'm thinking Betts and Caddy as of now because I think Charles will split carries with Colby Smith.
TP for everyone that answered.

since it isnt ppr, I would go with Knowshon and Betts.  I like charles (he is starting for me) but not if it is a non ppr league.

I'd say Betts for sure. He always plays well while starting.
"The emblem of a warrior, it's the swagger of an athlete, a champion and dynasty, it's gifted, golden, genuine and glorious. It is a lower-case god. It's the goat. The greatest of all time. What's G? It is the heart, hustle and soul of the game."

I just saw this:
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/jason-reid/betts-limited-by-foot-injury-b.html

"betts limited by foot injury, but expects to play"

I am not sure if it would or wouldnt change my mind...

I would definitely say start Ocho over Boldin. Boldin injury has lingered and he has either played and looked slow, or not played the last few weeks. There is a very good chance he plays tweaks and sits. That kills you. Especially since they should be able to handle the seahawks without him, I dont think they would push it at all. As for running backs, I think you have to go with Cadillac and Moreno. If Betts, is declared fully healthy, I would replace him for moreno.
