Insurance perhaps; but the guy only started 173/554 games during his career. He had decent numbers in 20+ min a game; but again nothing special. So talking about a guy who was a solid backup; but was never a superior talent. If they need a backup would rather they did something more decisive, rather than this kind of comfortable and perhaps heartwarming half step.
