Wallace - He looked exactly like I thought he would. I'm impressed that his defense is still relatively tight. My only complaint is that he looked like he was only giving 95%. It might just be the pre-season, but I wish he'd just look a little more alive. And did he really need to pick up a tech in his first appearance?
Daniels - If Rasheed looked like he was giving 95%, then Marquis was giving about 85. For awhile he just looked lazy. But I have to say, I don't mind him at the point as much as I thought I would. He did a decent job of trying to make plays. And his defense looked pretty sharp. His outside shot was pretty ridiculous though. He needs to start knocking that down if he's gonna be in the game for 20+ minutes. I hope he can stay consistent.
House - There's not much I can say about Eddie. He looks about the same. I think we need to give him the ball a little more. There's no reason for Marquis to be taking the same amount of shots as him in less minutes.
Davis - I don't think he looks much different either. He made a couple nice plays. His post defense is still lacking. He just isn't that inside presence that Powe was. This really shouldn't be a problem in the regular season though, since he'll always be paired with either Perk, KG, or Rasheed.
My boy Scal - He played SF all night I believe, which didn't make me too happy. But he looked good like always. Sweet hook.
Hudson - I thought he looked like an NBA player. He made some typical rookie mistakes, but I won't hold that against him. As I have said before, I think most of his production is due to long minutes. It just seems unlikely to me that he's gonna play the same kind of ball in the low minutes he would get if he ever breaks the rotation.
Williams - Some things I liked, some things I didn't like. It's fair to say he's not even close to a replacement for Powe. He definitely doesn't have that inside presence. I'd say he's marginally better than Mikki Moore. He really shouldn't get many minutes, and I wouldn't be disappointed if he spent most of the season on the inactive roster.
Giddens - I'm glad to say, I liked this kid's defense. He looked very alert, like Tony used to. But all I can say is, with offense like that it's no wonder he's inactive. With some more work, he might turn into an NBA player. *Enter D-League* I'm probably gonna join the consensus that this year or next is his last year as a Celtic. In 2011 he's set to make 2 mil, and in 2012 it's 3 mil. Plus, he's pretty old right? Absolutely no reason we should keep him for that much money.
EDIT: How could I forget...
SWEETNEY - I can't imagine he'll ever play in the NBA again, but the ball don't lie. At this point, I couldn't say he's better than Sheldon, but it's a definite possibility.
