KG looked very quick and looked good in transition drills especially playing against pick-and-rolls. He'll play regular minutes in pre-season.

Welsh said he wasn't aware how good Wallace is in setting screens. [May explain some of Rip Hamilton's success. Maybe he can teach Perk how to avoid many of those ill-advised offensive fouls]. Seems to be well-liked by players.

Rondo worked with Mark Price this summer in Atlanta. Welsh says he's now become an average shooter and has changed his shooting form. Hopefully, he picked up Price's FT shooting technique too. This could be one of those small improvements that makes a big difference IMO as Rondo could become an all-star with a reasonable jump shot FG% and a normal FT%. (Get that extension done DA at 50 for 5).

So far from reading and listening the last few days, KG is in better shape than I expected, Rondo looks to be improved (as hoped for, but I was unsure of), BBD is in much better condition (which I had heard), and the newcomers are picking things up quickly (which I expected). My wins expectation keeps rising.

As annoyed as I've gotten when people have complained too much about Rondo's bad shooting, I must say it would be a pretty big deal if he has in fact changed his form and now can keep defenses honest with his shot. Boston becomes an instant favorite to win it all if Rondo becomes a legitimate shooter. That being said, my attitude is still "I'll believe it when I see it".

If he has actually changed his shooting form, he is likely to still be inconsistent, at least this year but maybe this is good for the long term.

Rondo with an average shooting touch would be a big improvement and would really change everything in terms of the way other teams would have to defend us.

Maybe he was being consistent with his previous form, just consistently bad with it.

Price has become a shooting coach and can devote himself fully to his students, meanwhile Ray has to focus on his own game, helping other teammates as well as Rondo.

What Ray would've taught him would be more in the vain of workout regiments, repetition, discipline... not particularly teaching him how to shoot properly.

Good news indeed but I agree that I will have to see it to be sure it's working well for Rondo.

The elbow modification seems important anyway.

Good news, but let's see his new form in action.  Rondo's a stubborn cat, and it's always sounded like that's extended to his shooting form.  It's not like his coaches haven't been in his ear since high school to keep his elbow in. 

EDIT: There's also a world of difference between practicing proper form when all you're thinking about is shooting the ball right and being in the middle of a game, when you're apt to fall back into how you've always shot the ball.  Let's see whether his improved mechanics have been internalized or not.

Point taken LarBrd but Welsh actually said he spent every day this summer with Price. He hired him as a shooting coach and its a sign that he acknowledges that his form needs to change to be effective. Ray may have tought him repetition and practice, but Price hopefully has shown him better form.

We should be cautiously optimistic however since shooting form takes a while to change. It's like changing your golf swing. I'd say if he sticks with it and doesn't revert back to his old form, it will take a half season before he feels totally comfortable.
