Season 5 just premiered last Tuesday on FX.

I enjoyed it. Leary was hilarious. But the best part of the premiere was Mike J. Fox guest spot. I always thought Fox was a pretty funny actor, but in a more PG fashion humor. I never really saw Fox as an edgy dark funny actor, but he pulled it off in his brief spot.

Also, any time I see or hear the name Dennis Leary, I keep picturing him saying "It's called Bruins!" and I find that advertising spot ROFL funny as hell.

I still need to watch it, maybe tonight or later this week.

Last season's ending was awesome.

Alright, finally decided to sit down and watch this season... I have to say that this season has been completely awesome. One of my favorites. I thought the comedy was top notch, particularly with Tommy in the AA meeting and all the alcoholics in the new bar, the lesbians, Katie, Michael J. Fox, the peanut butter, the Russian nympho wife...

Really a solid season full of funny moments. Just have a couple of episodes to go till I finish up the season. Season finale was about 2 days ago, any of you seen it yet or the season for that matter?

I really liked this season a lot. I won't ruin it for you, but the finale was excellent. Watch it soon.

Sounds good. I should do it either today or tomorrow night. I'm very happy with the casting of Maura Tierney, she was my favorite in ER... when I used to watch it some years ago.

Alright, just watched the final two episodes... and this was completely nuts. Completely loved it.

Lou fooling Candy was truely great and Ted losing it the way he did was awesome. Can't wait for the next season.

Anyone else finished up the season?

Aw crap, that was the finale?  I hope this show goes on for as many seasons as possible, it's one of the few shows i find good enough to watch.
As for this season, i didn't find it as enjoyable as the past seasons, but it was still absolutely amazing.  It's still funny as hell.  All the focus on the drinking was a little annoying.  Sheila's mental illness has gotten a little out of hand, and Janet has just turned into an absolute B, I don't know why Tommy still even bothers with her.  The other thing that bothered me was how they spent a lot of time following Tommy's life and less time focusing on just the firehouse (as they have in past seasons).  Franco and Sean seemed a little removed (my two favorite guys).  Black Sean and Damian just aren't really all that interesting.  And Lou and the hooker was just kind of lame.
Still it's a great show and Leary is amazing.  In other news, SOA is starting Tuesday.  Anybody like that show?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Yep, that was the finale... huge cliffhanger as usual. But we know Tommy will survive, more importantly is to see how it'll affect him emotionally going forward.

Also read that they are planning for 19 more episodes to spread through 2 more seasons, so the show will will end in 2011 with the 10th year anniversary of 9/11. Seeing as the show is mainly how firefighters have been dealing with the aftermath of 9/11, it seems quite fitting.

But seasons of 10 and 9 episodes respectively seems a bit short shighted to me. Hopefully they'll do at least 13 episodes per season.

Knowing Tommy he'll probably drink some more.

There's nothing in this world I hate more than short seasons.

Do you not have eyes? Look at her. I know I wouldn't mind being "bothered" by her.

But he can't bother Janet and Sheila on the same day anyway.  Sheila seems like the better set-up, plus she's not scared to go out to dinner with him and stuff.

Me either. I mean, come on... they almost brought down a hotel.
