When Garnett and Sheed are in the game Cleveland will get killed on the defensive end if they try to play Shaq or Z because Sheed will be out by the three point line and KG away from the basket.  Neither Z or Shaq are effective defending away from the basket.  We may be overrating Sheeds overall skill level but you are underrating the way that he plays the game and how cleveland will have to adapt to cover him

Big Z was the player that guarded Sheed every playoff series. No problems ever, and Sheed was still just a 3pt shoot then.

You focus a lot on how Sheed didn't light up the Cavs. But do you agree he's better than BBD?

Fair enough.  But the difference is Sheed was arguably the best player on that Detroit team.  He is the 6th or 7th best player on this Celtics team.  His job isn't to score, it is to stretch the defense and play within the system on offense, and play good team defense.  I have no doubt he will be able to do that.  If Z is spending his time trying to shut Sheed down, that means that he is not double-teaming Pierce, Allen, Rondo, Daniels, House, or KG, allowing them to take advantage of their one on one matchups.

What Sheed provides to the C's is another player who can make defenses pay for leaving him open.  Given the talent level of the rest of their team, that is all they need from him on offense.

We took Orlando to 7 games without the following players Garnett,Wallace,Williams & Daniels.  Cavs didn't even get to 7 games vs. Orlando.   We are losing Marbury, Mikki & maybe Scals, Powe didn't even play against Orlando.    That is a major, major upgrade.    Cavs get Shaq, Parker & Moon, but lose Wally, Ben, Pavlocic & Joe Smith.   That is a slight upgrade at best.
Celtics are #1 and will crush everybody.
EPSN & NBA can write columns on Tiger Woods when the Celtics win the title, because they will be the last two to want to admit it.
