Is Rashaad McCants available?

I know he is a restricted free agent but has anyone offered at him? I'd really like him as a bench wing for us.

Athletic good shooter could probably complement having a Marquis Daniels who can't shoot worth anything pretty well.

Is he outside our price range?

There's no room for him right now. If we do agree to a s&t for Daniels where we give up 2 of TA/Giddens/Walker, then we may look to sign another wing. In that case McCants might be a solid option for the minimum (he's not restricted BTW).

yeah i've thought all offseason that he'd be a nice scoring spark off the bench. Signing him for the minimum might also let us use Eddie's decently sized expiring contract in a trade.

The MOST important aspect of a McCants signing would be the fact that the Kardashian girls would probably be courtside at some point during the season.

In the NBA, the guy shoots and does little else. I don't think Doc would play him. If we were thinking about him, I'd rather bring Gabe back.

I like McCants but I'm not convinced this is a good fit for him.

He needs minutes, and touches, and more touches, and a lot of love + affection from a coaching staff that prioritizes his individual development ... I don't see him coming good without that.

He's got a lot of nice iso moves but he's probably the biggest ballhog in the NBA.  I don't see him meshing well with House, Daniels and Sheed.  Those guys like to touch the ball too.
