i dont like the idea of eddie being the primary PG back up. i still think they only keep one of giddens and walker. i think we are stuck with tony allen and really don't want to see him on the court as a celtic ever again. esp as the back up SG

good luck to him, but in no way will waiving pruit detract from this year's team. i would rather have marbury, stupid podcast and all, on board than pruitt.

as for the final 2 spots on the roster, hudson would be nice. but i would not mind him playing a year or two in europe then joining the celtics.

powe? i dont know why ainge doesnt gamble with the 15th spot and sign him.

i just cant see them signing bowen and daniels to play behind pierce as well as keeping walker and giddens. i think giddens stays and is moved to SG while walker gets moved..hudson has d league written all over him

rondo/tba point

ray/eddie/tony (makes me sick and wish he would get moved)/giddens

PP/daniels/bowen

KG/baby (or big in a sign and trade/scal

C Perk/sheed/cheap big

Gabe is just unlucky. It's never easy to be a player whos trying to crack a rotation of a championship contending team.

i disagree...gabe had a chance to really take the second PG spot but never did it...his rookie year they had to go to eddie and sam cassell...last season with a year under his belt he still could not take the job. if he had something to show he would have done it by now. i just dont think he is an nba PG...euro...yes

I like that idea of a rotation. For Rondo backup take Bobby Jackson. AND/OR trade Tony Allen for a PG elsewhere. Cheap big like Stromile Swift or Melvin Ely
Can't stop, Rondo!

How many open roster spots do we currently have?
5-Perk/Sheed
4-KG/Scal
3-Pierce/Daniels/Walker
2-Ray/T.Allen/Giddens
1-Rondo/House

so by my count we have three roster spots, 2 if we can sign baby.

I wonder if Hudson will have a chance to make the roster.  Bring back Powe as the 15th guy!

Unless Hudson REALLY impresses Ainge before preseason starts, then I'd expect him to be asked to play in Europe for awhile. As for Powe, I just read that Cleveland is offering him something that that Boston/Ainge is giving up on him despite Rivers vouching for him.
What player has ever been asked by an NBA team to play in Europe?

In order for him to even agree, we would have to get him under contract. Otherwise he would just wait us out and become a free agent. He could then audition for other teams or negotiate his own deal in Europe.

I wish Gabe the best of luck. He has the talent and athleticism to get another job on another team. Doc wont play players that aren't ready to contribute and Gabe never showed the aggressiveness he needs to succeed at this level.

Gabe was a real good kid. One night after a game last year he was leaving the Garden and he stopped a talked to a couple of fans. Most players cant be bothered to wave let alone stop and chat for a minute.

Maybe he was warning them to stay off the road because he liked to go out after games, get his drink on, and drive around. He was just "thinking of the kids" you know...

  • LETS DO IT AGAIN!
I hope Gabe gets picked up as he never got off the leash from Doc.
I was at a game last year where Gabe had some great dunks.

If Gabe wasn't on the best team in the NBA, then he could have got some run to show off his skillz.

GOOD LUCK & DON'T WEAR #13!
