I don't know why people are panicking. Before the start of free agency, most of the people were saying that the free agent who was the biggest difference maker for champion contending teams was Rasheed Wallace. Our #1 target was Rasheed Wallace. Our biggest weakness last year was a legit backup big with size and Wallace fills that need. So whats the worry about?

I understand if we failed to land Sheed, then it would be time to panic. But we got our #1 guy in Wallace. Have a pretty good chance of either retaining Big Baby or using him in a s&t to get another asset. And it's 3.5 months before the start of the season and all we are looking for is a backup wing. We don't have to have our roster filled by today. Hey, I don't even think we need to have our roster completely filled by the start of the season. As long as we have a reliable 9 man rotation by the trade deadline, I'll be happy. Right now we probably have a reliable 7 man rotation with the starting line-up + Wallace/House. If have resign Big Baby, that's 8. So we need 1 more and if any of the young players step up, that's going to be gravy.

Yeah, what's up with you positive posters?

We want to overpay every average guy that is out there. Give Matt Barnes the LLE right away! Actually, let's go back in a time machine and sign Posey for the MLE for the next 10 years. Forget KG going down, Posey would've started at PF and carried this team to the championship over the sorry frontcourt of LA.

Also, we definitely want to rush to get things done. If not, we will get criticized by every Celticsblogger out there for not having things wrapped up on July 1st. We should know that those guys expect a full 10 man rotation and 15 man roster on July 8th. We'll try to get that figured out next year.

  • Danny wants to have Baby back, but at the same time he is exploring countless unrealistic sign-and-trade deals. So what does he want? Keep him or give him away?

I'm curious by this statement.  How do you know he is exploring "unrealistic" sign and trade deals.  So far, the only thing that we know is that he has been looking at sign and trade scenarios (although I have not seen any confirmation that they are even involving Baby, they may just be to try to bring in a wing).

The scenarios that are out there are speculation by bloggers and writers, not confirmed discussions.  [/list]
