Makes it more likely BBD ends up back in Boston.
Yes, he's not quite the banger that Powe was.  But then again, Powe won't play this year (on any team) so it's a moot point.

Celtics fan for life.

I keep getting the feeling that if BBD doesn't get the money he wants he'll just take the qualifying offer, which is good for 2 reasons;

1. If he doesn't pan out he's an additional expiring that we can package with Tony, Scal and one of the little three that would allow us to trade for a 9mill player

2. It would be his contract year and he would play very well.

Looking more likely that Baby stays, which is great. Am also intrigued by sign and trade possibility with NO, although I understand the great obstacles, as explained by RH.

i think that if he accepts the qualifying offer he then would have a no trade clause.

I don't think it's more likely now. Orlando affirmatively said they weren't going after Baby. Detroit didn't. The rumors lately were that Detroit was looking to trade away some spare parts for the money to go after Davis or Bass. That makes sense, since they are really weak in the front court now - just Maxiell I think. Now that Bass is out, there aren't many options for Detroit and I could see them taking a shot at Davis especially since there aren't a ton of big man options left out there.
Go Celtics.

Bass didn't have the minutes to show his potential, much like Gortat (both unproven of yet), but his PER, Win Shares, and Per Minute stats all point to him being better than baby. He's a better rebounder too

The one thing Baby does have over Bass is Bass is mainly a cleanup and short range jumper guy, whereas Baby has more of a range.

Still doesn't put Orlando over the top. Especially if they're planning to use Bass as a backup C

Yea True I hear they may start him at PF Which would give them a Starting Linup of Nelson at Pg Carter at SG Lewis at SF Bass PF and Howard at Center not a bad linup but i stil think losing Turkoglu and lee will hurt them at somepoint.
