I think the Clippers might move Davis and one of their bigs (Camby, Randolph, Kaman) for Ray Allen and filler.  It would save them a ton of money and with Griffin coming on board they need to clear out one of their bigs.  The C's could then look to move Rondo in other deals (maybe for Joe Johnson or something like that) or go into the season with Rondo and Davis as their starting backcourt (a little undersized but incredible match up problems for other teams).  Adding one of the big men would be more than enough insurance for KG and Perkins and would be a nice rotation.  I'd want Kaman, but would settle for Camby or Randolph if necessary.

I am sure the Clippers would jump at the opportunity to give up Kaman over Camby, however, I am pretty sure the C's would prefer Camby.  Whichever they brought in would be the backup big man, and Camby is both more versatile, and more importantly, is an expiring contract.

You have it backwards. Camby is done.

Kaman gets no respect as a clunky white guy that looks like a pervert, but when he's healthy - he's good. Great shot blocker, great rebounder, and has post moves Dwight Howard only dreams about (which isnt saying much)

I have no problem with Kaman.  In fact, I think he is one of the better Centers in the league when he is healthy.  The problem is we already have a starting Center and PF signed for several years.  So I do not see the C's paying $10 million for a backup Center for the next 2+ years.

Now, if this were in conjunction with a Perk trade, then it would make more sense, but I cannot see the C's willing to take on a $10 million a year contract beyond this year, unless the guy will be in the starting lineup.

ditto. camby off the bench for energy, blocks and dunks for a year makes more sense in the framework of this deal.

Davis has only missed 5 more games the last two years then Ray Allen has (17 to 12), granted all 17 of Davis' were last year.  And if you go back to the third year, Davis has actually played in 3 more regular season games than Allen.

The guy has missed 25% of his games over the past 7 years and plays nicked a lot.

I have no qualms other than I'm not sure I want to pay that guy his contract over the next 4 years.

The framework of the deal would be Allen and Rondo for Davis, one of their centers, and either Eric Gordon OR the #1 pick.

I don't think the C's would be able to pry away the #1 pick for this offer.

I do think the Kaman + Davis for Ray Allen offer is something they'd strongly consider doing. That's a good deal for them. Not sure I like it for Boston.

No way we get BD, Gordan, AND Griffin. Thats ridiculous.
