I know it happened in that one game, the globe ran that in their game recap, but it has since grown to epic proportions in these threads and is used as justification as to why he is a horrible teammate and leader.
For all we know, his car broke down (unlikely of course, im not trying to excuse him from this, just pointing out we have no details that i know of)
could be completely wrong, and it could have been well covered. but it seems to me this was a blurb that has grown in scope and speculation no where but on this blog as its referenced like the gospel time and time again.
Just to follow up a little, Holley and whoever else were just discussing Rondo and Holley felt that Rondo showing up for game 1 if the semifinals should have been a bigger story and you can't do things like that. I'd say from the discussion that either Rondo was only late once or that Holley didn't know about his being late a second time. Since the only reference I ever saw to Rondo being late to a second game was an espn chat and I never read about it in a local paper I'd assume it never happened.
