Wouldn't the only scenario where the C's can make a max offer is if they do not re-sign Rondo?
Well if the Celtics could sign either Lebron or Wade but had to let Rondo walk , I would do that without hesitation, but only for those 2 players
Right, but would they have to renounce the rights to Rondo first, or can they negotiate with Wade or Bron and then if that falls through, still get Rondo? My guess is there'd be some timing issues. E.g. since Rondo will be a restricted FA, it's possible someone may make an early offer on Rondo, and they'd have to match within a week, wherease perhaps Bron and/or Wade may want to extend negotiations like Mark Texeira did.
