Suns get nothing in this trade..Suns says NO WAY they give up Shaq, Amare for expiring contracts if they will end up with nothing in 2010.

Plus the Suns don't have their 2010 1st round pick, so they probably want to keep it together until the 2010 offseason.

I don't get these trades, I honestly wouldn't mind having Amare, Bosh, Emeka, or whoever else gets thrown in these trades, but why would we make a trade for a player (Who will end up being the best player in the trade) who is just going to come off the bench? It's nice for the future, but for right now we wouldn't have a good 15-18 PPG scorer at the SG spot. Then the player we get back has to try to do that off the bench behind KG and Perk, because I don't care who we get they're not good enough to start over either of those two guys.

Suns are trying to make a push while they still have Nash.

They're going to return to their old days - and give Nash the keys. They'll probably unload Shaq and keep Amaire. Breaking up the team from a few years ago was the worst thing they did.

Suns dont want expiring contracts. Shaq probably wont play in Cleveland - (i assume he has a no trade clause or something) - unless he really wants another ring.

Perkins would come off the bench, not any of those guys.

First of all, everybody else is right in that the Suns don't get enough.

Second, why would Cleveland do this deal when it really comes down to two separate deals - Wallace and Pavlovic for Shaq (which they could do) and West for Tony Allen. Why would they give up West for Allen who has never shown anything? They had flaws exposed by Orlando - why would they trade for a guy who couldn't even get minutes against Orlando in the previous round? Wouldn't they just trade Wallace and Pavlovic for Shaq and if they really wanted to dump Delonte's two remaining years, send him somewhere else for an expiring contract without sending him to a rival?

Third, you're missing the fact that, besides the fact the Cavs could do their trade without the Celtics, the Celtics and Cavs would not make deals with each other right now. They are very competitive with each other, why would Cleveland help Boston get Amare? And to a lesser extent, why would we help Cleveland get Shaq?

Fourth, minor issues with the lineups you give:

boston gets

Center      Perkins
P. F.       K.G.
S. F.       A. Stoudemier
S. G.       P. Pierce
P. G.       Rondo

6th man     D. West

Bench       House, powe/Davis, walker, ect....

yes still need a back up c and pg. but I see the future like this (post KG time)

Center   Perkins
P. F.    A. Stoudemier
S. F.    ??? (walker maybe)
S. G.    E. House
P. G.    Rondo

6th man  P. Pierce

1. Amare cannot play small forward. Garnett is more likely to play some small forward. But really, 2 of the 3 of Perk, KG and Amare would start - I'd actually prefer it remain Perk and KG, with Amare bringing offense off the bench. But he's paid way too much to be a sixth man (I actually don't like Amare at all, not for his price tag - his inability to defend anybody, immaturity and stupid decisions make him one of the most overrated players in the league in my opinion).

2. Eddie House will never start over Paul Pierce on this team. If Pierce doesn't start, there will have to be a better, younger player in his place. House will not be a starter. If you were hopeful about Giddens or even if you put in Delonte, that'd be one thing, but House a starting 2? Next to Rondo, who is not a tall point guard? No.
Go Celtics.
