Delonte can't be effective off the bench for too long.  If he is not starting, he's pouting or struggling with bouts of depression.  No thanks, I don't want him as a starter.

I guess it's the last impression that sticks. Before the final game he was very up and down.

Anyone watch Delonte at the end of game 6?

He refused to give up, played with that motor we all know and love, and he made some nice plays in the process.

Seeing him really reminded me of how much I miss him.  He was a fan favorite here, and would've been a perfect fit for this team.  His defense, intensity, attitude, shooting ability would have made him a great combo guard to play 20-25 minutes off the bench.

My question is, last offseason, even when he was a restricted free agent, why didn't the Celtics send out any feelers or show any interest in him?

I would be all for a Tony/Giddens/future 1st trade for Delonte West.

I"m so glad you mentioned Delonte's refusal to give up at the end of the game. He literally did not give up until the final buzzer. I think he stole the ball from Rashard Lewis at least twice in the final 2 minutes of the game.
