out with the old GREAT TEAMMATE WHO BLED CELTIC GREEN
You said it!
The truth is that Walker was never a *franchise* player; unfortunately, however, due to the Pitino era quagmire, that distinction was lost and the burden for carrying the team was placed on his shoulders and in a position, power forward, which he wasn't a good fit for.
Now, KG has taken on that emotional role and apparently, Kevin's fine with it and he's our ***POWER FORWARD*** franchise player. I'm surprised that no one here gets it, Garnett has taken Walker's old position so 'Toine doesn't have to dribble into the paint and get his lunch swiped by the likes of a Boozer or K-Mart.
Ok, now that Antoine is re-established as a point forward, leading the second team with House, BBD/Powe, TA/Pruitt, and one of the big three, where is the problem? Opponents will not be able to leave him unguarded and they'll have to eye, every passing lane from where Antoine is to an open man on the court. What this will do is make House a deadly open jump shooter, any one of our backup bigs, Powe/BBD, a receiver for a jump hook, and if KG sticks around, an inside-out decoy. Or if it's PP and 'Toine, an even greater decoy, since most opponents will anticipate a direct pass to PP as option one and place most of their resources on it.
I want 'Toine back for the back-to-back!
