Antoine Walker was ONE of the reasons the Heat won the Title 'cause Shaq was fat and old.  Look how underused he was in Minnesota and didn't even get a chance in Memphis.  Keep Walker away from this team unless we decide to tell Sam-I-am to get a suit and start coaching, thus freeing up a roster spot for him.

Hold on, as Mourning's post-kidney transplant cheerleader, I'd give that honor to the big 'Zo. Every one of his 5-10 min stints on the floor was spectacular for a guy with Renal problems.

If anything, Walker's role on the Heat was like his role on the C's, during his short comeback playoff run: confuse the opponents' defenses, take brash shots, spread the floor, and be a general pain in the @ss. That's the 'Toine touch and on a team with talent, like the Heat, it translates into a championship.

Our benched sucked against the Lakers "bench".

But our starters lost the game in the 4th quarter.

Which is why I still think he can help a playoff-caliber team.    Not because of his game but because of something called "THE TOINE EFFECT" which you just described.  That super "mojo" he can bring in addition to him "bringing it" every night.....

At this point I will gladly take Brian Scalabrine over Antoine Walker.
PPPPlease for the sake of the holidays stop putting walker threads up, unless its about our rookie walker.  He could actually help our team.
An out of shape 6'9" three point chucking (not hitting), non defensive, weak rebounding pf is NOT what we need.

At this point I don't think I'm afraid of the idea of Antoine returning to the Celtics as I am nauseated by it. The whole concept and continued reliving of this ridiculous notion makes me sick.

Or maybe that's just Edgar's picture which, if it was a picture of women in bikini's doing the same thing, would have been ripped down by mods on this site within seconds.

No, no, you got it wrong; it's point forward, not power forward. Antoine, under NO circumstances, will be backing up either Perkules or KG. That's why we have BBD, Powe, and hopefully, if all goes right, PJ back for the playoffs.

'Toine's effect occurs on the perimeter, not in the post. I thought this was already established?

Bingo! That's it! 'Toine is a cross product of an Austin Powers and a Don Knots. Yes, it's hard to believe but he's a type of failed, aging Bob MacAdoo, but high as a kite on some speed-hashish ball.

So as much as we all love Eddie House, Eddie can't lead the B-team but is a great { I'd say phenomenal } complement to it. Just look at the games where Pierce & KG are both sitting (see X-Mas in LA) and look tired. That's where a rowdy Walker, getting Eddie's fuel lit, getting Big Baby to act like Baby Herman (under Jessica Rabbit's skirt), and the rest, can get those 5-15 min slumps into a revved up Dodge Charger!

i love antoine just as much as the next guy, and i'd love to have him. but he's just not what we need right now. we need another big, and for our younger players to step into there roles. so i say:

out with the old....

...and in with the new.

There is zero chance Walker or Giddens get any run this year.

Significant injuries to our team only....
