All I hear is, "Wah, Wah, Wah!!!" If it bothers you so much, win the game and talk back all you want.

I admit to being and old-school white guy but I don't get the trash talking and finger-waving.  I can't see Bill Russell doing either.  They are champions and are supposed to carry themselves as if they have been there before.

I don't like finger-waving, I don't like touchdown dances, and I didn't like the way Manny acted after homeruns.  And now, I don't like that the Celtics are getting a rep as trash-talkers.  They are the champs, what do they need to trash talk for?

I just don't get it.

I don't see the relevance of being white. I also don't see the relevance of being old school. How is trash talking a new thing?

It's not. They've been trash-talking since ever. In fact, things were much worse in the past - much more eyes staring and finger pointing, for example.

Sam Jones was a notorious trash-talker as well.

And a heckuva shooter.   :D

Indeed. And a very strange personality as well. There are some funny episodes about him in a Thomas Walen's "Dynasty's End". Nice book.

I hear far more crying in this thread than in anything Iggy said.
