screw what other people think...wear what you like, no matter ur age, taste, etc.

thats debatable

just because i wouldnt ever wear that, doesnt mean other people cant.  if it makes the individual happy, more power to them.  to me, not caring what people think about ur sense of style is cool, no matter how bad it may look to others.  wear what u like.

I take it you wear your Sith robes to work?

Here's how I look at it.

When I was in college, it was during the whole throwback jersey phase (Early '00s)that seemed to be permeating around (rap videos, celebs wearing, etc...).  My roommates and I were definitely into it and, on more than one occasion, we went out rockin' jerseys.  I had absolutely no problem with it back then.  You aren't going to see me at a bar or out on the town in one now, though.

However, I still rock jerseys sometimes if I'm headed to a game at Fenway or Gillette.  (Retired the Pierce tanktop from the Garden).  Beyond that, I might rock something if we're having a house party at my place or invited in a Beirut tourney (its a sport, i won't argue this.   ;)

Lastly, I'm probably not going to buy someone's jersey whose significantly younger than I am.  It just feels weird to me.

you can never outgrow jersey's... it just depends on the event. no one will question even a 60 year old wearing a jersey to a celtics game. on the street however, i say after college is the limit.

I don't think there's an age. I think there's a time and a place to wear them, but no real age someone should stop wearing them.

You wear what you want to wear.

You don't care what anyone else thinks about what you wear.

It's that simple.

Whenever you want. I am so tired of people placing concrete ages and dates as landmarks in their lives that they must abide by. If your 50 and feel like wearing a Randy Moss jersey, go ahead, have a great time.

It can't be said any better than that.  TP.

I do think this is dependent on geographic location.  It is not nearly as acceptable in the south as it is on the east coast.  I'm not real sure why, but you see jerseys a lot more on east coast teams' fans.

Since I read CB to stay updated on the latest fashion trends, I've been following this thread with great interest.

I read

and thought, "well, no issue for me there"

until I remembered that I'm like 2 or 3 years older than my favorite active point guard... this would mean I can't wear my 2008 Championship Jersey, with the aforementioned point guard's name on the back... or not out in public or something.

so forget that, I guess I'm not younger than a lot of these guys anymore. I ain't losin my expression of fanhood.
