I don't think it would be wise if they cut miles. Walker even though he's looking good, just came off a knee injury. Miles is the same way, but a bit worse. Personally I think they should keep both and do another tag team duo like Powe and Davis which works well. If Miles, and Walker are on the team, I can see both playing about at max 9-20 mins a game combined. Darius being low on endurance shouldn't be a surpise to us either, he hasn't played in years, it would be like me going back to wieght lifting after doing nothing the last two years. Give him two months and he'll be good to go.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

i feel really bad for who ever gets cut, its really not fair.
scal is probably one of the worst players i have ever seen in the NBA. fat, not skilled, basically useless.
the team should just by him out, made enough money last yr, pay for a horrible signing

Which could mean he's trading him with Davis for someone great?  By the way Davis has not impressed me at all this preseason, I don't see improvement over last year.  He really needed to add a knock down jumper for a pick & pop play.
Scal stays sam is on the sideline ready to suit up if/when miles experiment fails.
Scal can help and is a good guy for the end of the bench, better than a bad attitude going to media.  (wait wasn't that sam?)

Either way tonight will be the last shot Darius has to make an impression, basically it's sink or swim now.

I  do agree with BBD not really showing any improvement, he is still too heavy, and hasn't any outside shot. He really can't jump.....He will have a few good, maybe great games, but that will be because other teams will not cover him too tight. After last year he should have that 10 foot shot, lost 20-30lbs, which would make him faster and jump higher. Miles and Walker are better all around than Scal and BBD, Walker is a dunk machine, he can do it anytime. Ever Miles too, ever see Scal or BBD dunk.....if so, not ENOUGH times.....as for Tony Allen, his fate is in his hands, and that's that..!

I don't think that is the case at all.  If it was, then it was total waste to sign him in the first place.  The Celtics went into this with their eyes wide open, they knew basically what they were getting in terms of his basketball ability at the moment.  You don't miss 2+ years, then get it all back in the span of 5 preseason games, there is no way the Celts brought him in, expecting him to WOW them, knowing what his current physical state was.  His own trainer has said he is only 80-85% back in terms of explosiveness, thinks he won't recover all of that until Christmas.

If the C's brass was anywhere close to this assessment also of his physical state, they could not have possibly expected that he would be jumping out of the gym, moving freely at this point.  The only possible reason to sign him was the hope that, with time, he could recover a significant portion of his previous athleticism.  There is no way they thought he would display that at this point of the preseason.  The evaluation at this point, is more in terms of his attitude, buying into "the way the C's play" as Doc likes to say, and being able to accept a role which requires defense to be the most important thing.  I am not sure what they think of his ability to fit in at this point, but his lack of explosiveness was to be expected, not seen as a failure.

Darius has looked a step slow for sure, but shoot, I could take 2-3 months off from playing, and it would take awhile to regain my form, let alone 2 years and having recovered from major knee surgery.  Fans here may have had too high expectations, and because this is the first they have seen him, are suggesting him performing less than ideally physically right now, means he is on the chopping block.  He may indeed fail at this comeback, but the C's aren't going to pull the plug based on his physical play right now, the only way they would do that is if his knee is absolutely shot, or he clearly won't/can't fit in with the program.  I doubt we are going to learn much more about anything from tonight's game.

FROM WHAT I SAW OF D MILES,  SAY KEEP HIM FOR SURE. You can see glimpses of what he can do. You're right, in that league, at that level, it takes a while to get back in it. That is the highest caliber, they have to be the most "in-shape" of all pro-sports, or the top 3 anyway! Besides, he is free $$$, no charge!!! Give him 1/2 of a year! At least until December.
