When it was anounced that Shamrock had pulled out of his fight with the "legend" and who was anounced as the "legend's" opponent, I had an inkling that this could be a quick wipeout and the street legend would be exposed for the hyped fraud he is.
Petruzelli hasn't won all of his fights that I've seen him in. But unlike Slice's other opponents, he wasn't a hundred years old, couldn't fight, or scared to death. Petruzelli has always been a fearless guy with a big punch who can fight. Slice probably would have been beaten by the ghost of Shamrock by some kind of submission.
To Slice's credit, he was gracious in defeat. He was also pretty game to take the fight in the first place. Without a definitive MMA skill, though, there's little chance he'll progress beyond where he is at his age no matter who his coach is.
Hopefully EliteXC can find a true MMA fighter to showcase now.
