Currently watching Finals Media on NBA TV. During Doc's press conference, someone mentioned an article that stated Paul would need knee surgery after the Finals are over. Doc stated he knew that Paul wasn't 100%, but that he didn't know the extent of his injury.

Can anyone elaborate on this?

And a bit off topic, but did anyone else catch KG's explaination of when he, Paul, Ray and Doc all went on a duck tour? It cracked me up. :P

He also talked about how he is focused on the game, that being in LA doesn't affect him at all; been to mamma's house only once for like 30 minutes. He didn't mentioned  going out with his girlfriend.  :)

No one, not even PP, knows if he will need surgery. He wouldn't allow them to do an MRI because he didn't want to know. If PP can walk he will play like a monster. He'll worry about his knee after the season. All we know about his knee is that it hurts. Anything else is conjecture because a complete medical exam has not been done by PP's choice.

When the Ray Allen deal was done Ray was on vacation and did not come to Boston for the usual press conference. When the KG deal was done there was a press conference with KG, RA, and PP came in from LA. If you didn't see it it was amazing. You knew something good was going to happen. After the conference PP took KG and RA to dinner and they talked and started to get to know each other. Also, while all three were in Boston Doc took them on a "Duck Tour" which is an amphibious vehicle that does tours around Boston. The "Duck Boat" is also used now for championship parades.
This is when Doc and the three players talked and this is when Doc stated that DEFENSE is what would make them winners. It was also motivation by Doc. When KG mentioned it, it was NOT a joke. It is when this wonderful journey began.

All the evidence is pointing toward torn meniscus. I know the signs having torn mine last summer. The most recent sign was Paul falling during the last game. When I tore mine and kept playing, occasionally my knee would just give out. That's what it looked like Paul's did. The C's need to end the series Sunday for Paul's knee's sake.
