Sources say that the Pistons indeed intend to add [Norman] Powell, who is coming off his first All-Star season, to their list of potential offseason targets as they look to add shooting and playmaking in support of star guard Cade Cunningham.

Detroit have cap space, right?

They have that cap hold for Duren. Not sure how big that is. They also have Duncan Robinson who only has a small amount of his contract guaranteed so they could free up more money.

DET could be a serious player for Norm Powell. That would throw a major wrench into the works for Miami. Also, Norm Powell would be a great addition to DET. A great backcourt mate for Cade Cunningham.

A one year deal with team options is pretty wild.

If they included Edey, I think I'd consider it, but I'm pretty high on Edey's projected ability to impact winning in the playoffs.

Still, I'd want to flip Morant to a third team. Would the Pelicans want Morant, 27, and a future first for Murphy?

We then have a lineup of White-Murphy-Tatum-Boozer-Edey with Queta-Pritchard-Hugo-Harper-Baylor-Walsh-Williams-Garza off the bench.

That owner is crazy.  I know his team won a Stanley Cup, but hockey teams have long been weird in terms of these things, regularly firing coaches in the middle of the season while an interim leads a team on a Cup run, as we saw with Vegas this year.  A couple teams tried that last April, I guess, but it did not work well and I do not see it becoming a trend.  Nori is going to have a tough time putting together a staff with everyone knowing he is on a permanent hot seat.

Not without dumping salary, no.  They could probably give him $8 million at most.
