RIP.

Loved him in The Ghost and The Darkness. Great movie.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Kilmer as Doc Holliday is my favorite role of his. The slow but steady building of tension between him and Johnny Ringo is a great subplot, and Doc's controlled bravado in the face of deteriorating health is stellar.

"Why Johnny Ringo, You Look Like Somebody Just Walked Over Your Grave."

The drinking cup gun trick tension breaker is pretty awesome too.

A master class in de-escalation.

What a cast that movie had.

Oh yeah. Michael Biehn and Powers Booth were good villains, and I forgot that Charlton Heston and Billy Zane had small roles too. And Sam Elliott is a classic Western actor.

Val Kilmer in The Doors...not sure anyone has every played someone better than Kilmer played Morrison. It was as if he was channeling his spirit. RIP.

When I got my first DVD player Tombstone was one of 3 movies I bought with it.  (Jaws and Terminator 2 were the others in case you ever get asked ?what were Redz? first 3 dvd purchases on trivia night).

Val was so good in Oliver Stones, The Doors film. Incredible job portraying Jim Morrison. Heat is another one.
