Obviously a hypothetical, but if the Celtics won the 2025 NBA title and had an opportunity to trade for Cooper Flagg, would you do it or stay the course and go for a three titles in a row, something that has not been achieved since the Lakers in 2003.

What's the trade?

I know it is never going to happen, but there is some rational thinking that if New Orleans wins the lottery, their team owners may want a star that can contribute now rather than later.

The Celtics would have to include Brown & any combination of players (other than Tatum), along with picks.

I will personally drive Jaylen to the airport if it means us getting #1 (Flagg)

In theory that would also help a ton with the luxury tax concerns/issues down the road.

If the trade didn't involve Tatum I'd do it.

I?m in this camp too. That would certainly solve our cap probs. That said, trading Flagg would probably be close to zero at this point.

I don?t think the team that drafts Flagg (Utah) would trade him and salary filler for JB. Cooper turned 18 recently, JB is 28. Flagg has too much upside.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

For the Pels that might not be true. They are struggling to keep the team in New Orleans, having won 5 playoff games in 14 years.

Cooper Flagg has flirted with the idea of returning to Duke next season. Given Flagg is making good money in college, I doubt he would be ecstatic about starting his career for the worst run team in the NBA.

There?s no way he?s staying in college lol. Flagg is reportedly making a couple million at Duke. The #1 pick in the NBA draft last year is making $12.5M the first year. His rookie contract is nearly $60 million. Leaving that kind of money on the table would be incredibly foolish.

Apparently it is around 4.8 million with sponsorships. But yes I understand your point.

What I am saying is with that type of money, it is a legitimate threat now. If Flagg and his agent do not like the team that wins the lottery, they can ask for a trade or they will pull the draft withdrawal card.

Trade Brown and his inconsistent defense in a heartbeat.

I'll give them Jrue too if we get a guard back

And it would make him 1 year later in getting to his 1st Max contract.
