Is Jokic top 15 yet?

3 MVPs. Title winner.

I always think of Jokic as a 6-11 280lb version of Larry Bird. Those two guys are so similar to my mind.

They have very similar stats but Bird was ROY and 3x All-Defensive... It's a very close comparison.

He's also only got the one title, and he's not competing with a stacked Lakers squad.

That said, top-15 isn't unreasonable.

The list of players with more than 2 MVP's is pretty short: Kareem, Jordan, Russell, Lebron, Bird, Magic, Wilt, Moses, and now Jokic.

The other guy on that list with only one championship is Moses, who is probably top 15. Jokic feels like he's right there with Moses, to me.

Yup, among Jokic, Moses, and Hakeem, you could really make a case for putting them in any order.

He's not top-5 in terms of dominating the competition, but I think you could make a decent argument that he has had a top-5 influence on the game. He is the single greatest force behind the single greatest trend in modern basketball: the 3PT shot.

#1 shooter of All-Time
Top 5-10 influence on the game
Top-25 player of All-Time

Something like that, exact numbers of course always being highly debatable?

In terms of modern players. I am not ready for Curry to enter MY top-10. Heck, it took me a while to allow LeBron in that group because I am Old School in many ways, but ultimately could not leave him out. That said, Curry is not done and may be in MY top-10 someday.
