The C's are not drafting Bronny and holding him hostage, that's some late seaosn game of thrones level nonsense.

What is the hostage part? Draft him, then trade him for something worth more than #30.

He's the biggest power broker's son. He's worth more than a draft stash or some guy that sits behind Jordan Walsh.

No, he's really not. If he was he wouldn't be available at #30. But who says the #30 will be a draft or stash or sit behind Walsh? Late first round picks can occasionally contribute.

In 2016-2022 a lot of decent players went in that 26-36 range:

2016:
Siakam (27), Murray (29), Zubac (32), Brogdon (36)
2017:
Kuzma (27), White (29), Hart (30),
2018:
R Williams (27), Brunson (33), Robinson (36)
2019:
Poole (28), K Johnson (29), K Porter(30), Claxton (31),
2020:
Pritchard (26), McDaniels (28), Bane (30), Tillman(35)
2021:
Thomas (27), Sharpe (29), Aldama (30), H Jones (35)
2022:
Jovic (27), Watson (30), Nembhard(310, J Williams (34)

Try to actually get a decent player rather than playing games.

You might be right. This might be a good draft and we might get a rotation player. I hope that?s the case. I was working under the assumption that this was a weak draft.

It?s a weak draft at the top.  Incredibly weak.  It?s not unusually shallow, however, so the player quality around 30 will be similar to most years.  It?s the teams picking in the first 10 who are getting a raw deal.

The way I've heard it described is the top 10 picks are VERY weak, the middle like 10-25 is actually pretty good, and the rest is about average. Really its the top end of this draft that's giving it a bad name.

I haven?t been following the draft this year, but yeah, I hear it?s really bad at the top but it might actually be an above average year for a late first round pick.

Sorry for not quoting any sources but from everything I've read and I read a lot this year lacks star power but is deep on rotation players into the early 2nd round.  It's why I can see Brad moving back a few spots into the 2nd.  The only way I can see him pick at 30 is if he loves 1 player that slipped.  If there are 4-5 that they like he will 100% trade back.  I hope they stay at 30 and pick BPA.
