Not as much with Cassell and Lee being added.

this, I mean both these guys were assistant coaches last year for 2 of the top 3 teams in the east and were head coaching cantidates.

it's a big boost to the coaching staff.
With a full year of head coaching under his belt and a staff that isn't itching to jump ship on him, I expect Joe will be better this year.

And this is a veteran team now. It's Rob's 6th season, Tatum & White's 7th, Brogdon & Brown's 8th, Porzginis' 9th, Al's 17th (!). I'm not concerned about coaching.

My concerns are:

1. Guys not being held accountable

2.  Not adjusting when the players, for whatever reason, cannot execute the normal game plan.

3.  Coaching takes confidence.  Does Joe have enough?  Being overly certain(rigid) all the time can be a sign of lack of confidence.

You know what might have really messed with Miami in that last game?  Sitting Tatum after his injury.  It would take a confident coach to do something like that.  The team sometimes forgets that it's a true team and plays best while sharing the ball at a high level.  The Celtics recent habit of just putting it all on Tatum and Brown all the time seems like an organizational philosophy.  The coach needs to show what non-star winning looks like...so that when the stars play bad, get injured, etc...there is a knowledge of how to play and still win.

Of course over the long haul the stars are where it's at...but the C's seem to be trying to turn their stars into an infallible security blanket rather than having a gritty, resourceful team philosophy.

People complain about the C's being mentally weak and playing "dumb" (Charles B.).  But Charles is right in that the rigidity of the
C's system is a dumb thing in itself...

So rigidity born of lack of true confidence (which comes from experience), is my 3rd concern as stated above.
