...Or can he be hired for Joe's staff for next season? I'd love to see Rondo on the bench. I think he's exactly the kind of personality that locker room needs.

In the last couple of years, Rondo has been accused both of assaulting a woman in a parking garage and of threatening to kill the mother of his child.  He has paid a settlement in both instances.  At a minimum he needs some more distance from those events.

So you’re saying he’s going to be an NBA coach imminently?

You and I think differently on Rondo.  Seems like a very bright but volatile person. I think his capacity to be a stable influence over time is questionable.

Joe Mazzulla, Jason Kidd, Chauncey Billups (alleged rape)...

That's at least 10% of the league's coaches.  Am I forgetting anybody?

I believe he was in talks with Kentucky to join Calipari‘s staff.

IMO Rondo is best suited to being a college coach, rather than the NBA. He’s too stubborn and has too much of an ego to succeed in the NBA, where you need to relinquish some type of control to your players.

I was listening the Jackie McMullen a few years ago (after the Lakers championship, I think) and someone brought this up to her. Her response was a really emphatic, no, he's actually wonderful with younger players and seems to love teaching. A little volatile, yes, but not as much as he was when he was younger and a better communicator now.

Rondo quit on the Celtics when Stevens was coaching him. There is no chance Stevens would consider him (not should he). Thanks for riding the coattails of the Big 3 to a title but I will never get the infatuation Cs fans have with this player. He’s a bum, especially as a person.

Assuming the alleged transgressions are not the issue, I would absolutely love to have Rondo join our coaching staff.

Wouldn't be surprised if he joined Vogel's staff in PHX, though.  Read this story about how Vogel considered Rondo an assistant coach on the floor during Laker 2020 bubble championship:
