I think Brad will make an acquisition if Williams is out for the year. What do you expect?

I think he will start to play in January and will gear up to play 20+ minutes a game in the playoffs.

His rehabilitation is going great and he should be back in a matter of weeks, not months. Even if it takes a few more months, we are number one in the league right now and should listen to JT:

“I can’t stress enough how important he is to the offensive end, defensive end, his presence, lob threat, protecting the rim and his ability to pass the ball. Obviously, we miss him but we don’t want to rush him back because we want to win when it matters most.”

We are number one. No point in another acquisition. Just patience as we await the return of the Defensive Timelord.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Out for the year?! Do you know something the rest of us don't know?

He's already cleared for practice and practice with contact isn't far away. I think we see him in less than a month.

I know this might be premature, but I kind of expect him back for that big Xmas day game vs the Bucks.

Haha I don’t think he will be out for the year. I think Brad would have made a move otherwise.

Excited for that game! Rob’s return will do wonders for our interior D.

I think Brad is taking a “wait and see” approach.

1) Can Kornet provide enough minutes to hold the fort until Rob is back.
2) Will Rob make it back in a reasonable time in the schedule and be ready for the playoffs.
3) Will Rob be able to play at or close to his previous abilities.
4) Will Rob remain healthy or quickly re-injure himself.

Those are risks, but so far 1 and 2 seem to be working out. I don’t see Brad adding another big unless Rob can’t perform at expected levels, or he suffers another injury before the trade deadline.
