Here is more on why people want to break up Brown and Tatum.

I've never listened to an interview with him. I'm more of a fan than I've ever been.

FAvorite moment is like the 6:40 mark on this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQnXdvDgODA&ab_channel=JJRedick

He pauses after he says he's always been a fan of (Rozier). I wonder what that pause was. There's more there that had to go unsaid. Whether it was that he wanted to keep Rozier instead of trading for Walker, or there have been conversations to try to bring him home (which would be very on brand for Brad Stevens' decisions).

Tatum with some truth:

"I couldn't imagine why you wouldn't want to have two of the best players that are under 25 on your team."

Break up the Jays?!?!?! JT be like...yeah, right!

Redick got a lot out of him.  In most of his interviews, Tatum tends to give canned, “correct” answers - never giving anything really soundbyte-worthy.  But JJ got him to open up a lot more than he usually does.

Definitely good stuff.

You really don’t expect either of them to endorse a split, do you?

Of course I do.

I expect Tatum to say how much he hates Jaylen and wished he never had to play alongside him and for Jaylen to tell everyone how he wants out of Boston if Tatum isn't traded because Jayson resents JB being so good.

There is genuineness in his voice though. It doesn't mean it would never happen, but he absolutely has the right mindset about it.

You are the very definition of a true believer.

There's a more PR-friendly way to diplomatically talk around that if he felt another way. And it's a podcast, he could've dodged that question and asked them to edit it out, or flat out told them not to ask about Jaylen at all. Instead, he emphatically endorsed the pairing.

Must be a bummer to that portion of the fanbase that wants them to hate each other.

Given that elite two way wings who can defend multiple positions, hit 3s and attack the paint and are still to hit their prime don't really grow on trees, I tend to agree with him. Most teams are fortunate to have one of those, we have two. In fact the only reason you would do it would be to get an even better player, of which there aren't that many around right now. I can't imagine too many other fanbases who would be clamoring to break up the Jays if they played for their team, unless it was for a clear upgrade.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
