Not only would Toronto not consider that deal, but an argument could be made that VanVleet is the best player in the deal too.

An argument by who, FVV’s mom?

I suppose a losing argument still qualifies as an argument

To be fair, FVV is an allstar this year and JB isn’t. FVV is also a champion and JB isn’t (for those of us who like to use the ‘well player X hasn’t won anything’ argument).

That said, I wouldn’t trade JB for FVV lol however JB for FVV+Barnes is a no-brainer of a deal for the C’s. You take that deal before Toronto can change their minds

Do you think Toronto would do this?

Not likely. Something like Anunoby and Trent for Brown and Langford is probably more realistic. And I don’t know if I’d do that. Something about having to play against Jaylen four times a year plus possibly in the playoffs turns me off.

Great trade for Toronto but that's not near enough for Jaylen.

I'd do this yesterday and I am big Jaylen Brown Fan but TOR would not.
