Celtics are now 23rd out of 30 teams for lowest FG and 3pt shooting percentages in the league. 21st ranked in assists. Two best teams in the NBA are ranked #1(Warriors) and #4(Phoenix) in assists per game. Must be a coincidence.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Garrison Matthews is averaging 13/3 on 47/40/82 splits in 13 games for Houston.

As a starter he is averaging 17/3 on 49/41/77 splits in 8 games. Houston are 6-2 in that stretch.

So glad we have Brodric Thomas instead ::)

To be fair, I believe the rumor coming out of training camp was that Matthews didn’t want a 2-way with us because he wanted somewhere he could get minutes.  So the real statement should be “so glad we have Jabari Parker”.

THe problem is were are pegging non-shooters in the corner as spot up shooters (Smart, J-Rich, Shroeder) and expect them to hit 3s on a high clip while our supposed shooters (Nesmith, Pritchard) are losing their confidence because the coach constantly put them on dog house for committing rookie mistakes.

I doubt anything would change even if we find a JJ Redick or Joe Harris as they won't see any minutes because of "defensive limitations".

This post rings very true to me, sadly.

Prefer this though, if you can't play any D, then don't play.

Gotta get Tatum and Brown to play tough, lose some of those Kyrie habits.

Grant needs to be attempting 6-8 3pt shots per game. Going into tonight’s game he was averaging 3.3 attempts per game, which is tied for 6th on the team with Richardson. Let Grant shoot!

He can't take that many 3s. He is strictly a spot up shooter. He can't shoot off of movement or off the dribble. That limits how many attempts he can get up.

With Jaylen and Jayson attacking the Rim and drawing in the opposing defense, he absolutely could get that many attempts. Grant’s 44.6% from 3pt is seventh overall in the NBA. C’s need to get him more shots.

Pat Connaughton comes off the bench for the Bucks and he averages 6.3 attempts from 3pt as a spot up shooter.
