Nance is not available for what we'd be willing to pay.  I fell like Favors could be.  I'd rather have Nance, but value comes into play and in that Favors makes more sense.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

I voted Nance as I've always liked his "glue-guy" game BUT...

Considering either of these players strikes me as just fixing up around the fringes.  I don't think either one moves the needle.  The talent in the league and especially in the Eastern Conference, is on the rise.  Watching the Finals and USA exhibition games is a bit depressing.  C's lack overall talent.

Brad needs to make a significant move for a top-10 player.  Not sure if this is possible without giving up Jaylen.

. Just trying to make the roster better before we get Beal.

Both of these guys will help Boston win more games next year. Nance is the PF we need right now.

The best PF I the game we should have had, but no Danny drafted Olynyk!!!!

I didn't say Nance starts over Tatum that's crazy,  he's a great bench big for the team very versatile.

Neither. Start Tatum at the 4. Traditional PFs aren't mobile enough to stay in front of him on the perimeter. This is a massive advantage in our favour, especially since Tatum can put the ball on the floor and create his own shot.

I agree. Tatum is a 4 in the same way that Durant is a 4. Tatum can rebound and has the length to play the 4 in the modern NBA. Brown can also guard 4s. Brown did a great job on Siakum last summer. We need a guard who can guard these super quick ones in the NBA.

To second this... A starting lineup of Smart, Brown, Fournier, Tatum, and Horford would be big and rugged by league standards. It might technically be undersized at the 4, but who cares? You'll be oversized at 1-3 and can switch pretty much everything on defense.

What’s your thinking here?  Can Timelord and Favors play together?

I doubt we get either but given a choice, it is Nance.  He has more room to grow is the better player and athlete.

If we can flip TT, Timelord and draft assets into Nance/Young and Mason Plumlee I'd be ecstatic. Our rotation would then be (assuming we keep Fournier):

You would also be fired by team owners for that trade.
I would love for you to explain why. Nance/Young and Plumlee are much better players than Tristan Thompson, and I would say fit this team better than Timelord with his injury history and impending free agency.
