that was not a blunder. not by a longshot. always a poor example to use of a young player traded away early in their career. Billups needed to get to his 5th team before becoming a decent starter quality player. we got Kenny Anderson in that deal and he was a big key in getting the C's to the next level as a team.
People are screaming about Romeo and Nesmith being busts in the 2nd and 1st years respectively and you think Billups as the #3 pick would have been give the 6 years here he needed before he became decent. That's not taking into account that he never averaged 20 points a game as a #3 pick. he'd have been run out of town long before that point if he hadn't been traded
