my very early conclusions:
- Theis and GWill have been awful so far this year.  it's like they're worse now than they ever were when playing for us.
- Pritchard is a real find.  kid's going to a solid player for us
- Missing Kemba and Hayward from last year has exposed some real issues with this team on offense and defense.  Getting Kemba back should really help the offense and provide more depth to the team.
- As Scal said in the postgame last night, Romeo should provide some depth when he comes back but the key to any player's career is their availability to play.  if he can't stay healthy enough to get on the court, he won't have a long career or much opportunity to show he should have a career at all.
- C's need an overall upgrade at PF over Semi and GWill.  one as the third-string PF wouldn't be bad at all but as the only backups at that position, they're not big enough to provide the rebounding help needed and they're a negative on offense since the other team can basically ignore them at this point.
- Thompson has been as good as hoped for.
- Teague started great in preseason and the first game.  offense is in the toilet the last 3 games.
- Smart is having less impact on the games than usual I think because of the absence of better players to draw attention away from him.

If Danny is willing to spend 2-3 first round picks maybe we can wait till Houston and Detroit register 15-20 losses and decide to tank. Then the obvious targets are Christian Wood and J Grant. I like both and if they are willing to play third banana behind the Js it might be a long term solution.

I don’t think either player will be traded. They were just signed and Grant left Denver because he didn’t want to be a third banana.

I like what Pritchard has done so far but I think people need to pump the breaks on the expectations. He’s had like 2 nice games. If he turns out to be Cs version of Barea (savvy backup guard who is always solid but has certain limitations), it’s a big win for the Cs.

Before the season started I expected Pritchard to become a good back-up point guard. As a senior Pritchard was supposed to be NBA ready, but with a clear ceiling. It's not really a surprise he looks better than Nesmith.

But what is surprising how good Pritchard has looked in these first games! He may be a good back-up point guard right now and then it would be a bit silly and premature to describe that as his ceiling as a player as well.

I thought he’d be a good backup to fringe starter but he looks to be already that. The thing is he can shoot but his handle is also top notch and he can finish. If he was just a shooter he’d be much easier to shut down. With everyone else out tonight I expect Pritchard to run wild tonight against Memphis.

- Jeff Teague will be more of a scoring option off the bench than a PG who gets other players involved
- Fortunately, Payton Pritchard will be our backup true PG who keeps the ball moving and gets others involved
